New Facebook messaging service poses risk for users

The new Facebook messaging service which will incorporate online chat, email, text messages and real-time messages are at  a high risk of being attacked by cyber criminals.

“Facebook accounts will now be linked with many more people in the users’ social circles — opening up new opportunities for identity fraudsters to launch attacks,” Said Sophos senior technology consultant Graham Cluely.

Facebook will be storing all of its communications with the one person leaving all personal details and messages thought previously deleted vulnerable to be hacked and stolen.

A warning to all Facebook users such as myself is that don’t be quick to sign up to the new system, think before you act-do you really want all of your information in one place which can be easily hacked by genius cyber criminals?
