24th of September, A Day of Protests

Yesterday was the day of the inception of an event aptly named “Moving Planet.” Moving Planet took place in over 175 countries with more than 2000 events taking place. The event was implemented as a global protest to rally the world up and let leaders know, now is the time to move on from fossil fuels.

This event was the brainchild of an alliance of groups comprised of Greenpeace, tck tck tck, 350.org and more. People took to the rallies and protests in a myriad of unconventional ways. Cycling, marching, skating and sit downs redefining the way we protest.

350.org frequently organises global mass scale protests furthering their goal of reaching below 350 parts per million of Carbon Dioxide.
